This massive Banyan tree is right around the corner from the Secret Garden restaurant. It’s almost 200 years old and is too cool to skip. At the intersection of Pasteur and Ly Tu Trong, turn right on Ly Tu Trong and walk about 150 feet. This gigantic old tree is in a little park on the right.

Across the street from the Banyan tree is the historic Gia Long Palace, current home of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum. The palace is a beautiful example of 19th-century French architecture, and the museum houses exhibits dating back to the earliest history of Vietnam.

Shri Restaurant is one of Saigon’s most luxurious establishments. Shri opened its doors in February 2010 on the 23rd floor of Centec Tower. This is a lovely location in the city’s heart because it offers a panoramic view of Saigon from above. Believe it or not, almost all tables have spectacular views thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows.

When you walk into the restaurant, the first thing that strikes you as “surprising” is the Shri decoration. The space is classically decorated in a modern style with white glass, creating an atmosphere ideal for special occasions like a romantic couple’s dinner or a business party between partners.

The balcony area is truly a paradise, with medium-sized ornamental plants, water, decorative lighting systems, and the high and wide sky creating an ideal windy place to enjoy delicious dishes.
